Sometimes I just literally have to ‘turn off.’ Have to walk away from ‘trying’ to be spiritual…, doing, going, participating in services. This is what I have chosen in the past few months. Lately, though, as much as I try to tune it out, things are coming to me.
I haven’t read or even opened any of my Science of Mind magazines for months, just tossed them in a stack. I’ve said that I was going to cancel the subscription. I just don’t seem to read them.
Except today.
I got the August issue. Now, usually I never begin to read them until the ‘month’ actually comes which matches the magazine date.
Except today.
For some reason I picked up the issue and immediately turned to the page on ‘Personal Affirmations.’ I know that there are 4 to choose from but all of them spoke to me:
Being
I stand in the awareness that there is only this moment. And in this moment there is only God radiating as my life in all aspects and I am grateful.
Desire
My desire for health, wealth, wholeness and prosperity are in alignment with God’s desire for my life. I live my desire with the knowing that I am fully supported by the Universe.
Trusting
I trust in the power, the presence and the guidance of God. I know that there is a divine plan for my life and I trust that all my needs are met right now in fulfilling that plan.
Acceptance
In this moment I accept the great law of life which says, “it is done unto me at I believe.” I accept this truth for knowing that my life is filled with the grace, peace and beauty of God.

Then I read an article by Ernest Holmes excerpted from ‘Creative Mind’. It has to do with the receptivity of our mind and the absolute ability to reflect back and create our thoughts.
“The great soul is leaning more and more to dare to fling out into mind a divine idea of himself, and to see himself as perfect and whole. If he has a divine thought, he will get a divine thing. If he has a human thought, he will get a human thing; he will receive whatever his innermost thought embodies.”
“We often wonder why we are not making better demonstrations. We look about and seeing that some are getting wonderful results; they are speaking the word and people are healed. We see others struggling and nothing seems to happen. When we inquire into the reason for this, it is very plain indeed. All is mind and we are mental, we are in mind and can only get from it what we first think into it. We must not only think but we must know. We have to provide within ourselves a mental and spiritual likeness for the thing desired.
“Because others have succeeded is because the have absolutely believed and allowed real power to flow through and out into expression.”
“The word really felt and embodied in our thought, then the word becomes flesh and dwells among us and we behold and experience it.”

Then I read an article about “Creating the Mystical You” which basically says to connect with the Divine. When you know that you know…, that is a connection. When you commune with that which flows through life, your job is to trust. These experiences are more valid than anything your human intellect could have conceived.
“We get so caught up in our ‘human experiences that we forget that our nature IS peace, joy and love. In difficult experiences we ask, “Where is God in this? Why did God allow this to happen?” We forget that when God created, It did so with great joyous confidence, giving us the free will to create and explore each life experience. To the question, “Where is God in this?” the answer is that God is at the center of it, as pure love. If we choose to look for love, our life will reflect the expectation and we will see the splendor of life all around us.
Recognizing the presence of Spirit in everything allows us to live the goodness of God. Although it appears to be unseen, we begin to see it everywhere. Knowing that we are adored by an unseen guest that loves us without reservation gives us the opportunity to change our perception of every single event in our lives.
It is in a child’s face, pressed against a window, wanting to be somewhere else. It is in the seed of the dandelion, determined to live, as it pokes its head through a crack in the sidewalk and in the glistening trail of a snail.
We experience that the Beloved is at the center of everything, including disappointment and tragedy. It is just as present in the recesses of a convalescent home as it is in the birthing room filled with a healthy newborn’s cry. When we practice communing with love in our everyday lives, we remember that it is with us always.”
Eventually you will become aware that you are a gift; and that you are cherished by a God than knows only good and loves you completely. More and more you will find yourself surrendering to the one who loves you completely and guides you no matter where you are or what your experiences.”

Now, this entire issue has ‘gotten’ me. Many times today it has revived me. I guess that, even though I think I do, I never really take those ’spiritual vacations.’
From Me to Thee: May on your wings you fly, upward, upward beyond the sky, to the arms of the One, into the One and with the One who cherishes you, that you may know that unending and complete love, then fly home and give it out, that precious love from God.
And so it is….
Blessed Be….
